Okanagan Military Museum

The Okanagan Military Museum (OMM) is located at 1424 Ellis St, Kelowna, BC V1Y 2A5. It features a collection of military uniforms, firearms, and other war artifacts from the era of the Indian wars through World War One. The museum is housed in the historic Fort Okanagan building, which was constructed in 1887 and served as a fort and military post throughout much of the 19th century.

What to Know Before You Go
– Admission hours: The museum is open daily from 10AM to 5PM. No admission is charged the first Saturday of each month, and admission is free to all veterans and members of the public on that day. – Admission fees: The museum is free to all visitors. Closed holidays: The museum is closed on New Year’s Day, King’s Day (June 19), Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and the first Saturday of each month (November to February). – Admission charges: The admission charges for the museum in 2018 are $8 for adults, $6 for seniors (age 65 and older), and $4 for children (age 4-17). – Daily parking fees: There is no parking charge at the museum. If you’re visiting the city and would like to park your car, there are several parking lots in the area.

The Old Fort Museum is also worth a visit while at the OMM as it is housed in the historic 1887 Fort Okanagan building. This historic building was constructed as a military fort in the mid-1800s and served as one of the first military forts built in the Okanagan region.
